Wasn't it? I never knew why it got canceled in the first place, I know of people that DO NOT like sci-fi at all in any form, size or color, and yet fell head over heals for this series. Why did it go away?

I know people in the same situation; they're not genre fans, but they love Firefly! I really blame FOX for the cancellation. They refused to run the pilot episode first, so all of the introductions to the characters and setting didn't happen up front as they should have, and then the episodes continued out of order, so the arc didn't get to develop as it should. They also put it in the Time Slot of Death, when it was preempted by sports in many major markets for weeks at a time. Argh! I'm still hoping for a film sequel. At least with films, the networks can't go in and mess things up. I think it's one of the best shows/franchises to be made in a long, long time.

They were airing some re-runs over at I.Sat, but it was short-lived and absolutely out of order. I also caught up on it kinda late... so, bad I.Sat, bad.

Oh, Mal. You know, I loved everybody in that show, I could tell you that Wash my favorite, but that's as far as I could go, I mean, there's NO ONE I didn't love with a passion. Best show ever, man.

I think it was The Film Zone. Yeah, I got them too! lol. It was after watching a couple of episodes and watching the movie that I downloaded the show... only 15 episode... what a shame. It was really good. The characters were very well built for future character development as well as the plot, for Fox didn't give Joss time to do so... *sigh* I repeat, what a shame...

Why did it get cancelled? Well, let's see: Fox did SFA to promote the series, put it in a really bad timeslot, and even aired the episodes out of order. Add to that the fact that the TV series Angel was surprisingly cancelled shortly afterwards and one could easily surmise that Joss Whedon must've seriously pissed in some top level Fox executive's cornflakes.
