tea_and_ink: (the storm at the heart of the sun)
~ On Wednesday I was deeply and profoundly grateful for Inception. I don't think I need to explain this.

~ On Tuesday I thanked my lucky starts that the groceries store opened early enough for me to go un-empty my fridge before school. And for lattes.

~ Today I'm ever so grateful to the person who called Bradley James a Lust Muffin. To his face. Uh, careful with that link, it's an interview and it's spolery as only Merlin folk know how to be. Still. Lust. Muffin. Man, I'd've paid gold to see Angel's face to that one (she was there as well).

I have a headache. I've had a headache for the better (or would that be the worse) part of the day, my stomach's been upset for the same amount of time. I want this bastard to go away before I go to bed, mostly because I won't be able to actually go to bed for realsies until the headache is gone. Please brain, stop acting out, thanks.

ETA: Found this link to the above mentioned Lust Muffin thing (it's now stuck in my head with capitals, yes). No spoilers other than Bradley's observational skills.

Thank you

Universe for yesterday's sunset on the road. It was entirely too beautiful for words. ::is speechless::

And today, I'm grateful for finding this quote in an old notebook I'd forgotten I saved from the recycling bin:

"Stories are hope. They take you out of yourself for a bit, and when you get dropped back in, you're different -you're stronger, you've seen more, you've felt more. Stories are like spiritual currency"

-by Rober Rodi, from Little Extra Smidgen of Eternity, which is a story found in The Book of Dreams by several authors.

There, my soul gets to sing loudly now.

head cold + menstruation = grumpy me.

A's drawing skills + a paper airplane = no-longer grumpy me.

This I am grateful for today. A wants to learn to build airplanes, so naturally he excels at making paper airplanes and drawing things, so he decided to change my day a bit by drawing these reversible little faces on a sheet of paper, which he then folded appropriately and sent it flying across the room at me. It said: "it's all a matter of perspective, for example, this side up (frowny, sad faces) they're not very encouraging, now (arrow indicates I should turn the sheet upside down) this side up (sad faces magically become dimpled, smiley faces) they're much nicer, wouldn't you say?

I love my friends.

Yesterday I was inordinately grateful to [livejournal.com profile] robanybody  for taking my excited yipping and returning it in kind, plus added pimping of lj activities which involve Alerans and ficcing. Thanks babe!

hullo! So checking how's tricks around here, since I've been a bit, uh, gone for the last couple of days.

This internet connection continues to be fickle, the Codex Alera series continues to be addictive, as well as random French police novels. Cold temperatures continue to be awesome and Sherlock continues to trickle in instead of getting downloaded properly.

To continue with the Gratitude Project, I should put down on stone, here and now, how grateful I am for the project itself, really. The world looks different, all brighter light, sharper colors and livelier sounds when you're looking at the part of your day where you're grateful for the chance you got to talk to your mom while waiting for the traffic jam to clear a bit.

Also, serendipity. I love serendipity.

which I seem to have mentally renamed project gratefulness. I keep doing things like this.

So, this morning I woke up to the sudden urge to explore Merlin related content in Tumblr. I came across this, which happened when I was away from the internetz and thus unable to squee all dolphin-like in a timely fashion. But it's better late than never, plus I never do things in a timely fashion anyway, so.

Also, there's a prev for Series 3. I may or may not have imploded a little bit.

Go whimsical urges, then!

I'm missing Gwen severely, you guys. Severely.

Yay for dramatic subject lines!

Via ,[personal profile] shopfront . [personal profile] elf suggests a Gratitude Project of which I  find myself inordinately fond of, and so I am joining it by being grateful to my sister's huge smile, which she texts me (it's not an actual text, mind) first thing in the morning, along the lines: 'figured my actual smile would brighten up your day way more than an emoticon could convey'

Yes, she says convey.

Also yes, her smile does brighten up my days. Even at five-thirty in the morning.

Have a nice day, my loves, and be grateful for the little things, I feel they always amount to so much more when you look back on them.
