Spreadin' the LOVE

So, no spn tonight... yeah.

But hey, one of the awesome, awesome things about this show is its Fandom (yeah, it totally starts with a capital f) so since ignipes and missyjack have started, I'll do my share. But in my own way....

I love spn because its given me "Back in Black". Twice. "Renegade"; "Wheel in the Sky"; the dudemeter; the chance to see Jensen Ackles act his guts out; The opportunity to watch how Jared Padalecki improves his mad acting skillz

It's also given me such beautiful shots, like mirror shots and background and back-roads shots that are just perfect. I love how much thought is put in the visual aspect of it all, how the contrast is so harsh to make a point, how they can make a from-between-Sam's-legs shot seem evil ans scary but also artsy despite all the dirty thoughts going in my head at the time. I love that the boys speak in unison, and the "Bitch-Jerk" quib. I love how brotherly they are, how real it feels. I love that Dean is the twelvest. I love that Bobby has Holly Beer. I love that John had a anal-retentive way of organizing his guns while Dean and Sam just toss them in. I love the dreamcathcer hanging from the gun's box's lid. I love Metallicar. I really love Metallicar, in fact, in all honesty, before I even knew JA was in it, I knew about the Impala and stopped zapping through channels because of the car.

I love that we have the coolest fandom ever. Period. I love how prolific it is, and how respectful of its members. How creative and well plotted fics see the daylight every day. I am truly amazed that some of these writers aren't published authors. I love how willing we are to jump into any kind of intellectual discussion about the show and the characters. I love that this is about the fifth time I've encounter odes to the show. 

I love that I got all heart-swollen after reading the previous ones, so inspired that I even decided to pull this one on my own. The last person to do that was cherryscott with her Ode to Supernatural and the result of that one was my "Oh Dean" icon. I love that now I wanna finish that fic where Kat is a hunter who hopes to one day run into the bros and tell them all she's done and all she's learned because she was so grateful they saved her life. I also wanna read something where Michael checks the closet and the window's latch before going to bed and tells Asher, when he asks that yes, he believes in God and that there are angels out there. 

I too hope that one day, I get to hear "Riders on the Storm" being played on the show. And someone telling Dean "Thank you for being there" and Sam fanboying over some new gizmo he managed to get his hands on... 

There, I feel much, much better now.

ETA: also?? I love that Dean opens his beer with his ring!. I can't believe I forgot that one. What is wrong with me?

oh man, I wish I had any energy whatsoever right now, because I would be so there with you squeeing and being amazed at our show and our fandom. Instead, I can only say yes to what you said - yes, yes yes & yes. Awesomest ever :)

Yeah, it is also to be said in spn's favor that it has the power to render speechless or at least incoherent to the most articulated ones out there.

ergs school . . . i wrote that comment after absolutely killing my brain studying . . . no fun, but reading the love for spn was fun

only a week left of school work! am I ever looking forward to it :)
