I love Jared to pieces! He's this constant presence in my life. We're very close because he's only three years my senior and for twelve years I was the little girl in the house. Big brothers are made of awesome, each and every one of them... well, every has its exceptions, but your mom's right, it'll be a cold day in hell before I get to actually order my brother to do something and he would actually do it!
So, I'd advice you to take advantage of your position, lil' siblings really do look up to their elders.
