Well, that happened. But eucharist? ever heard of it? It really is a thinly (very thinly, almost not-really) veiled reference to cannibalism. So, you're point is largely invalid. And so, human sacrifice/consumption of human flesh does not equal Big Evil Meany-ness. Unless they're trying to impress upon us the idea that Christianity is also evil in a way, in which case YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG because if I have to fanwank my way into that assumption, then YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG. Apologies if I've offended anyone with this. Please, do feel free to educate me.
On another point, WHY IS LUCY ABLE TO JUST SWAT THEM ALL OUT OF EXISTENCE? Again, undermining your own point, show because they were supposed to be threatening and Big Evil Meanies or something, and we were supposed to be afraid on some level and you were supposed to be letting us know that you're aware of how small your sandbox is because there is a whole other universe of sandboxes out there, AND THEN YOU GO AND WIPE THEM ALL OFF FROM YOUR WALL JUST LIKE THAT. When Lucy showed up and gave his speech on how silly and revolting he thought all these gods to be for thinking themselves as gods when none was as god-like as HIS god I was all willing to forgive the flesh-eating selective portrayal of the other deities because I thought there would be some commentary on how Lucy was doing exactly the same thing, BUT THEN HE WENT AND PROVED HIMSELF MORE BETTERER THAN THEM. And blew a raspberry on their collective faces. Maybe the message is how he does not respect humans and theirsilly beliefs, as opposed to Gabriel who loves them (the humans) so much that he actually loves them loves them (the humans' silly beliefs), but it was lost in the face of the fail, IMHO.
There were parts to like, yes, but I'm getting my enjoyment overwhelmed by my facedesking.
Maybe I should just try not to mock their world turtle. IDK.
Further thoughts might be forthcoming. As well as possibly better framed and redacted. However, I cannot promise less capslocks, sorry.

Well its Ganesh, but for some reason the english language puts -a in front of all our Gods names.. Rama, Krishna, Shiva...
Exactly. Ganesh is a peaceful god. In fact we start anything, a journey, an exam, a new home, a job, for some people a new day, with his name, he is supposed to be that lucky/holy. I didn't get their point at all. Oh and that elephant in the room, does not even make sense, because while he does have an elephant for a face, there's a long story as to why it is that, but the last thing he is signified by is an elephant.
Agreed, they needed to sort of get their point across, but by showing that Christianity is the all important religion, it is the one that controls the planet, my god, is one of the writers hired right out of Vatican? I did not get the needless need to sort of portray other existent religions in the poor light that they did, (I can't seem to find the word, degrade, reduce?). Why marginalize them like that?
Ph I'm not even going there. Cannibalism is such a sin in our culture, to portray our Gods in that way, ::shudder:: ::hells anger:: I can understand that Pagan's demanded human Sacrifice, so did many Norse gods while the Greeks looked down on humans, but Baldur, Ganesh, srly? I understand exploring other religions but why not show them for what they are instead of distorting them so badly that they are so far off from the original, it hurts people sentiments? FAIL, Kripke, MAJOR fail!
